The May 14 meeting of the Shelby County Amateur Radio Club was called to order by President Bill Davidson KW4J at 6:50 PM with the attendees introducing themselves. Two visitors were present: Bruce Tension WB4AU and Sean Paul WN4BAN.
Vice President Jim McLester W4YXU told of future ARRL power point programs.
Treasurer Jack Evans, KC4PZA gave his report as follows:
Checking account $110.85
Savings account $ 3,437.83
Special account $1,283.35
There were no bills reported.
President Bill Davidson reported for EMC Tom Appleby W4TCA and
future emergency seminars and exercises were noted and discussed.
Two new member applications were presented and approved for membership:

VE Testing Chairman Joe Ford, K4NVJ announced that the next testing date is June 7 at 14:00 at the Shelby County Red Cross Office, which is also the Club’s meeting venue.
President Davidson reported for Repeater Chairman Bob Thomas KC4AF.
Volunteers are needed for CityFest on June 6.
Davidson also reported for Patty King KJ4FTZ. Permission has been granted for a tower installation at the Shelby County Red Cross Office, and a discussion concerning the logistical status ensued.
Webmaster John Murphy KA4ZXL said refinements and additions to the Club web page are in the works.
Jack Evans reported that the barbecue shed behind the Shelby County EMA had been cleaned up and was ready for the Club to inspect and estimate the material and work needed to complete the refurbishment. He asked for volunteers to meet him a the site for the inspection.
At the May 21 meeting members will be asked to vote on the proposal to make the Club Repeater Trustee a Club Officer.
